New AG Historical Melody's Sneak Preview

Today is quite an exciting; for a preview of the new AG Historical "Melody Ellison" has been released on CBS! Melody is a girl growing up in the 1960's who loves to sing in her church choir, and also to stand up for what is right. Miss Melody is scheduled to be released sometime this summer (Probably in August.)

I think that she is a super duper adorable doll with gorgeous locks and a fabulous collection of items! Her wardrobe is so fun and she is a very cool recording studio that I look forward to seeing in person (although it will probably be very expensive!) Overall, I cannot wait for the release of Melody Ellison!

AG Look Alikes #1: Disney Princess Edition

Today I am going to show you all some  AG dolls that resemble  the Disney Princesses. Hopefully this post can give you some ideas for creating custom dolls or even doll Halloween costumes. Please note that I tried my best to find a replica of each princess, and so some dolls may not look 100% the same as the Disney Princess that they are resembling.

New Segment! Smore AG's Monthly Vision

Welcome to the new segment on the Smore AG blog titled, "Smore AG's Monthly Vision." In this segment, I will post 3-4 ideas that I have for doll products. These ideas aren't anything too specific, but rather just items that I truly wish someone would start selling or making.

I would absolutely ADORE a 1920's American Girl Doll. The fashion during this time was too perfect between the fabulous wardrobes, makeup, and hairstyles which were all so darling. Yes, 1920's AG doll.

Something about this dress makes it so elegant and gorgeous that I just absolutely adore it. I really love vintage clothes, and so I can very easily picture this outfit on both myself and my dolls (especially Maryellen!) I feel like this should be Maryellen's Christmas dress since it reminds me of a snowflake or ice and also since it is true to her time period.

These are just too cute! Honestly, one look at the duck faces and you will be drown in cuteness! Can someone please make this for American Girl? Between the duck's bill and the big eyes, I am just in love with these slippers. My doll Priscilla would definitely wear these since they fit her fun and comical style.

Fishing For Deals 2/13/16

Here is the weekly post in the segment "Fishing For Deals." In each post I list three to four items that are fun finds from both online shops, or regular shops I visit. These items are not from AG or any 18 inch doll companies, but are regular objects that double as something for your dolly at a good price.

Mini Red Plastic Cups
Price: $1 for 20
This is one of those items that you see in the store and you just get super excited about. These red cups are so fun since they can be used when the dolls have dinner, or maybe even a party. They are so realistic to the regular sized red cups, making them such a fun doll item to have.

Darice Fabric Covered Jewelry Display, French Text

Fabric Covered Jewelry Display, French Text
Price: $17.99 for one
Remember how in Isabelle's collection there was this really large set that essentially was her "studio?" Do you also remember the dress form that came with that 300 something dollar set? You can get pretty much the same dress form (in fact this one is even prettier!) alone! Although one may say that the price is a tad bit high, Michael's usually has great coupons that can be used to lower the price. Allowing for you to get this dress form and use it to showcase gorgeous clothes in a decorative purpose, or for use with that doll which you have who "loves" to sew. Such a fabulous piece!

Bulk LED Desk Lamp Style Book Lights
Price: $1 Each
Items like this make the Dollar Store such a great place to find doll sized items. These book lights look exactly like desk lamps (similar to the ones in the Pixar logo!) and so they can totally work as doll lamps! They come in a variety of colors, and with a great price; they are practically perfect!

Bulk Mini Terra-Cotta Clay Pots
Price: $1 for 3
This one requires a bit of work from the purchaser. So when I saw these online, I immediately thought that it would be fun for the doll owner to grow their own flowers in the clay pots to use as decoration in their doll rooms. The sizing of the pots is perfect; so the plants could pass as those of a doll. What a fun way for the purchaser to essentially "create" their own decorations that are completely real! I love it, and possibly I will try it myself.
